As President of CEG since 1997, George Burmeister concentrates on facilitation and project management related to the implementation of clean energy technologies across the U.S. CEG has an active presence in California and serves as a primary consultant on energy projects for the CPUC and CEC. CEG is the primary author or coauthor of more than 110 successful local and state government energy initiatives since 1988, including formal state energy strategies and local government energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate action plans.
CEG supports our clients in the codes and standards arena and has since our inception. Mr. Burmeister is the past Policy Director for the National Association of State Energy Officials, and Energy Program Principal at the National Conference of State Legislatures. He held a political appointment in the Clinton Administration, and was appointed Communications Chairman for the Congressionally-created State Energy Advisory Board by the Bush Administration in 2002.
