With over 35 years of experience, Bristol Stickney is a well-established authority on solar thermal hydronics. His monthly column on “Solar Solutions” is published in Plumbing Engineer magazine. His writing also appears in Phc, Radiant Living, Solar Pro, Home Power, and the ASHRAE Journal. He worked with the New Mexico Solar Energy Association for decades as both Staff and Board and is still active with the Santa Fe Chapter. He is also a former Research Associate with Amory Lovins at the E-source office of the Rocky Mountain Institute. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (University of Maine), he also holds a Mechanical Contractors License in NM, and over half a dozen patents in solar/hydronic heating and hydronic heating control. He is presently the Chief Technical Officer of SolarLogic LLC in Santa Fe, NM and is adjunct professor in Advanced Solar Heating Design at the Santa Fe Community College.
